Chicago Lighthouse Industries is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that employs more than 30 blind individuals. Under the supervision of one sighted direct labor employee, the employees who work in the assembly, packaging, printing and customer service departments are either legally or totally blind, some with additional disabilities. The use of appropriate adaptive technology allows our employees to perform as efficiently and effectively as those without physical disabilities.

Chicago Lighthouse began producing wall clocks in 1977 when they first secured a contract with the federal government. Today, they sell clocks to the federal sector, state and local governments and for commercial office use. Over the years they have built more than four million clocks and are continually developing new models to meet customer needs.
